Justin has overseen the creation of more than 3500 blog posts in three years as the Warsaw Schools district webmaster, developing a team of creators across 14 buildings. Whether as a mode to communicate with parents, internal staff, or as a marketing tool, participants will learn how to take advantage of the blogging and social media as well as learn tips on writing for the web audience and simple but effective methods for capturing engaging photos.

Join us for this tutorial about the Indiana Historical Society's new website, Destination Indiana--your portal to the past. This FREE resource lets your students explore historic images of their state from their desktops, laptops or tablets. Designed to be interdisciplinary and appropriate for grades 3 and up, Destination Indiana provides many new tools for studying Indiana history and culture. Laptops and tablets welcome but not required.

This session will teach chat etiquette and "how-to's" as well as introduce a few of the most popular educational chats going on now. Participants will also learn how to create Twitter chats for ongoing student dialogue after school hours. Participants should come with a Twitter account already created.
